Rules & Format
The shape of the day. Read once, focus on basketball.
Format
- 5-on-5 Coed Basketball
- Minimum 1 female player on the court at all times
- 3 Round Robin Games
- 1 Guaranteed Consolation or Playoff Game
- Minimum 4 games guaranteed for every team
Rules
- Game length
- Two 18-minute halves with a running clock. Clock stops in the last two minutes of the second half.
- Time-outs
- One 30-second time-out per team, per half.
- Fouls
- Standard FIBA rules. Bonus free throws on the 7th team foul of each half. Foul out at 5 personals.
- Substitutions
- Unlimited subs on any dead ball. Ref signals you in.
- Coed rule
- At all times there must be at least one female-identifying player on the court for each team. Failure to comply is a technical foul.
- Rosters
- Captain checks in 15 minutes before tip. Roster locks at the start of the first game.
- Tie-breaker
- Head-to-head → point differential (capped ±15 per game) → points scored.
- Conduct
- Two technical fouls = ejection. Ejected players sit the next game. Captains are responsible for their players and spectators.
